What this experience is
Scent as material, space and craft.
This is not a perfume-making workshop. The day introduces Chinese incense as a cultural practice connected to materials, space, time, ritual use and patient handwork.
Guests begin with source materials and major forms, then move through a sequence of making: bracelet beading, incense plaque making and powdered-incense shaping with a traditional stencil.

Arrival and material introduction.
Meet in Xuejian Village and begin with the materials used in the day's incense practices.
History, origin and main forms.
Where Chinese incense comes from, how major forms differ and why scent has been used in space and ritual.
Bracelet beading.
A first handwork layer that slows the pace and introduces material texture.
Village lunch stop.
A pause in the village day. Lunch arrangement and cost are confirmed before payment.
Incense plaque making.
Work with form, surface and scent through an incense plaque practice.
Powdered-incense shaping.
Use powdered incense with a traditional stencil to understand a more formal scent practice.
Finishing and closing.
Objects, finishing, packing and end time are confirmed with the provider before payment.
