For a first or multi-city trip, our instinct would be to choose a few places for distinct reasons, then allow time for the connections.
A trip like this might begin in Shanghai, with Suzhou for gardens and Hangzhou for tea. The sequence depends on your flights, time and interests.
For overseas Chinese travellers returning with partners, parents or friends, familiar places can sit alongside first discoveries. We would begin with what matters to each person.
Choose a base that suits the group, allow for family plans, then build shared days around it. Tell us about different walking paces or access needs.
Food, gardens, craft or architecture might set the direction. A maker’s worktable can deserve more time than another city. Our instinct would be to let the interest lead.
Tea might lead towards Hangzhou; incense towards a village studio outside Shanghai. We would check the relevant hosts and arrangements before proposing the route.

How planning works
Send your dates, number of travellers and a few interests. We reply personally within one business day. A short introductory call can help us understand the trip and discuss whether our service fits.
We explain what we can arrange and quote any design and coordination fee before paid planning begins. The fee depends on the trip's length and complexity.
We prepare a route and refine it with you within the agreed scope. Before booking, you receive the proposed arrangements, price, payment schedule, cancellation terms and details of who provides each service.
Once you approve the arrangements and complete the booking steps, we coordinate with the local partners and provide your agreed travel information and contacts.
Fees
Private trips are quoted individually. Your quote distinguishes any planning fee from the costs of the travel arrangements. An initial enquiry does not commit you to paid planning.
Route design only
For some complex trips, we offer route design without coordinating the bookings. This can suit a multi-generation family, a special-interest journey or a trip you want to book yourself. Mention it in your enquiry and we'll discuss the scope and fee.
Approximate dates, your party size and a few places or interests are enough. If you have a budget in mind, sharing it helps us suggest a realistic approach.
